Fungus and Fall

During autumn the rains fell and the most amazing fungi appeared everywhere. Brilliant autumn colours of red and gold, dusky browns and coral pinks. Spotted, striped, speckled and striated. Earthy brown mushrooms with waxy, velvety coats. Fairy mushrooms with a generous scattering of mocha freckles. Mushrooms that gently curved into cups to welcome the morning dew. Crucifix mushrooms with intricate charcoal slashes. Achingly beautiful coral fungi with delicate, lacy frills. Here are some of the more interesting specimens that emerged.
